Artistic Statement

I believe profoundly in the power of doing truthfully. The job of the actor is to hold the mirror up to nature, and to prize the truth in one’s own work. I carry this principle forward in my performing as well as my teaching of new and young artists. I encourage thoughtfulness, knowledge, patience and curiosity in my own work and challenge my own students and audience to live by that concept.
